The vimarc group Announces New Hires and Promotion

Louisville, Ky. (October 30, 2008) – The vimarc group recently announced its new hires and promotion.

Lorraine Houghton accepted the position of copywriter. Houghton brings to vimarc over 25 years of experience in the broadcasting industry. Her expertise lies in the areas of promotions, marketing and project development and implementation. Previously Houghton worked at WDRB-TV as promotion manager. She also worked at HTV as a producer, and KZ/Jones as an assistant producer. Houghton’s additional employment endeavors include Louisville Productions and WHAS-TV.

Houghton is the recipient of an Emmy Award from the Ohio Valley Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, as well as receiving two Louie Awards from the Advertising Federation of Louisville and a Distinguished Recognition Award from American Women in Radio and Television.

The vimarc group recently appointed Meredith Sleamaker as an account coordinator, where her primary focus will be within the healthcare industry. Sleamaker has prior experience working with healthcare clients during her employment at Finelight, Inc. She previously worked at Video Monitoring Solutions, and was also a supervisor and a buyer for Whole Foods Market, where she supervised and trained team members, and was responsible for increasing department sales by 54 percent in one year.

Jen Moore has accepted a position as an account coordinator. Moore has worked for Burch Associates Inc, where she was a media and print buyer, and before then she worked at the DAC Group as an account manager. Moore has also worked for Finelight Strategic Marketing Communications, where she was a human resources coordinator.

Sarah Menefee has accepted the position of account coordinator. Menefee is a recent graduate of the University of Missouri. She received a bachelor’s degree in journalism, with an emphasis in broadcasting. Previously she was a reporter for KOMU News Station and at KBIA Radio.

Sue McNally was recently promoted to Director of Public Relations. McNally has been with vimarc for two years, and prior to that worked at the Greater Louisville Convention and Visitors Bureau and at the Muhammad Ali Center.
